In the past, RCS has had an “Annual Appeal” program. While good effort and work was
done to promote the annual appeal, the fund had limited success. As part of the Comprehensive Advancement Model and with the support of the RCS Foundation, we are introducing the Regis Fund to reinvigorate our prior annual fund effort.
The Regis Fund is designed to engage alumni, past families, and other friends of RCS with a spirit of shared commitment to keep our Catholic schools thriving for the future leaders of tomorrow. Current families will not be solicited for the Regis Fund because they are asked to give to the Cost of Education Partnership Program.
As the funding of Catholic schools continues to evolve, the overall cost of educating our children goes beyond the means of our parishes and many of our families. The Regis Fund is an opportunity for you to help share the responsibility within our Catholic community, to help educate our children, and to live our Core Values.
Why reinvigorate the Annual Fund?
In 2010, the efforts of the Annual Fund generated $31,500 in revenue for RCS. This included generous donations from 250 alumni. While RCS is very grateful to these past donors, we also realize there is potential for more alumni to be engaged and committed in support of our schools.
Regis High School alone has nearly 5,000 alumni. Imagine if half or more of these alumni each gave $100 annually to the Regis Fund. This would generate $250,000 or more in additional and much needed revenue for our Catholic schools.
Where does the money go?
Revenue from The Regis Fund enhances curriculum, materials, and programs for our students that we are unable to fund through other revenue sources. This helps with all school improvement initiatives.
According to Joe Eisenhuth, Regis Catholic Schools President, “The Regis Fund is a vital part of our Comprehensive Advancement Model and serves as a collective call to action for our alumni and friends. A successful Regis Fund will help RCS respond to the moment in support of our students, staff and the future of our Catholic schools.”
